This qigong exercise can be incorporated into your daily self-care routine as a way of clearing out stagnant energy and bringing in fresh Qi. Inhaling as your arms raise and exhaling as your arms lower is a great way to synchronize breath with movement. The slow deliberate movement and breathing engages your body’s parasympathetic nervous system to provide a message of safety and calm to your nervous system.
It’s especially useful to start your day, before or after interactions or meetings with others, or just to reset and center.
